A ground-breaking ceremony was held for the establishment of a Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plant at Narmetta village in Nangunur mandal of  Siddipet district on Sunday.

The project is being developed by Juno Joule Biofuels Private Limited with an investment of Rs 700 crore. Minister for IT and Industries D. Sridhar Babu attended the event as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the project is expected to generate employment for approximately 1,400 people, with 30% of the workforce comprising women, reflecting a strong commitment to inclusive growth.

"The initiative will be implemented in a cluster-based model across three phases, with the development of 10 CBG plants, each having a capacity of 100 tonnes per day. The plants will produce biofuel gas using sustainable feedstock such as paddy straw, cattle dung, and poultry waste, contributing to circular economy practices and clean energy transition," Sridhar Babu said.
