Canada invites Revanth Reddy to lead Telangana business delegation

Canada’s High Commissioner to India, Chris Cooter, called on A. Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad and invited him to lead a Telangana delegation on an official visit to Canada to strengthen bilateral trade, investment and innovation partnerships.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed expanding cooperation in infrastructure, urban development, clean energy, technology and advanced manufacturing. The discussions covered key Telangana projects, including the Musi River rejuvenation initiative, Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion and the proposed Future City development.

The Chief Minister showcased Telangana’s strengths in IT, Life Sciences, Defence and Aerospace, highlighting Hyderabad’s emergence as a preferred destination for Global Capability Centres of Fortune 500 companies. He also outlined the government's vision of transforming the state into a global knowledge hub and invited Canadian universities to establish a multi university campus in Hyderabad.

Seeking greater Canadian participation in Telangana’s growth story, Revanth Reddy invited Canadian companies, investors and institutions to participate in the Telangana Global Investment Summit scheduled for December.

Chris Cooter praised Telangana’s forward looking governance, skilled talent pool and strong focus on employment generation. He assured full support for deeper collaboration and announced that a Canadian trade delegation would visit Telangana in the coming months to explore opportunities in energy, urbanisation, defence and aerospace. Senior state government officials were also present during the meeting.
