BRAOU honours 64 students at TCS iON placement meet

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) organized a Placement Success Meet at the CSTD Building on its campus on Thursday, celebrating students who secured jobs through TCS iON partner companies. As many as 64 candidates received offer letters during the event.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, who attended as chief guest, described BRAOU students as “gems” capable of emerging as leaders in the competitive world. He said the university is competing with reputed institutions and announced plans to establish a Tata–Ambedkar Training Centre in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services to enhance job opportunities. The proposed centre will focus on advanced technical skills and professional competencies. He expressed confidence that the university aims to generate 10,000 job opportunities in the coming years.

Krishna, South Head of TCS iON, encouraged students to embrace continuous learning, remain curious, and uphold ethics and integrity. Prof. Pushpa Chakrapani, Director (Academic), said the university ensures equal education and employment opportunities. Registrar Dr. L. V. K. Reddy called the achievers torchbearers for future learners.

OSD Prof. Rabindranath Solomon and TCS iON Project Director Leena Tipre highlighted the importance of skills, communication, and professional ethics. Placement Officer Dr. P. Venu Gopal Reddy and Prof. Pallavi Kabde credited structured training and mentoring for the success. Officials, faculty members, and TCS iON representatives attended the programme.
