Blue Star Limited has launched its new Room Air Conditioner portfolio for Summer 2026, strengthening its presence in India’s residential and commercial cooling markets. The lineup includes 125 models, featuring a premium flagship series, all compliant with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) standards effective January 1, 2026. This expansion addresses the growing demand for energy-efficient, high-performance cooling solutions across varied environments.
India’s room AC market is projected to rise from 14 million units to 30 million units by FY30, driven by first-time adoption in low-penetration regions and replacement demand in urban areas. Tier 3, 4, and 5 cities are emerging as key growth drivers. The new range covers inverter, fixed-speed, and window ACs across multiple price points, with the premium ‘Iconia’ series in Midnight Silver targeting discerning customers.
The portfolio introduces Super Energy-Efficient ACs with Dynamic Drive Technology, achieving an ISEER of 6.25—45% more efficient than 3-star inverters. Heavy-Duty ACs provide full cooling even at 43°C, while Hot & Cold ACs function down to -15°C for extreme climates. Anti-Virus Technology ACs enhance indoor air quality by filtering harmful microbes. Nearly 50 models are Smart WiFi-enabled, offering AI-driven adaptive cooling, voice control, energy management, multi-layer filtration, DigiQ Octa Sensors, self-clean and defrost functions, and Nano BluProtect anti-corrosion protection.
Blue Star supports this growth with three AC plants in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh, with a production capacity of 1.4 million units, scalable to 1.8 million. Its distribution network spans 900 towns and over 10,000 outlets, backed by 2,100 service partners under the Gold Standard Service programme.
