Following the conclusion of five state elections, BJP MP Dr. Laxman stated that the party would now turn its attention toward Telangana. He observed that while the BJP had certain advantages in past elections, political momentum had largely favored Revanth Reddy. Dr. Laxman also criticized the Congress party for attempting to block women’s reservation, noting that once the women’s reservation bill and the delimitation bill are implemented, the political outcome would largely favor the BJP.

Speaking to reporters at the BJP state office in Nampally on Wednesday, Dr. Laxman touched upon several political issues. He remarked that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s hate speech bill would be implemented carefully, but he questioned why national Congress leaders had not responded to provocative remarks aimed at Muslims. He said these statements should be addressed as potential hate speech, asking why there has been silence from Congress on the matter. Highlighting the party’s approach under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, he added that speculation or assumptions have no place in BJP politics, and decisions are made carefully by the leadership without being influenced by conjecture.

Dr. Laxman further explained that after the five state elections, the national leadership would pay greater attention to Telangana. He suggested that this would make it more challenging for the BRS to maintain its dominance. Speaking about Kavitha, he noted that no one has responded to her questions, and it would have been more appropriate for her to raise them while still part of the party. He emphasized that BJP has no plans to align with the BRS.

Addressing the political landscape, Dr. Laxman predicted that while Vijay’s party may attract voters, it is unlikely to win more than five or six seats. He underscored that in a democracy, anyone has the right to form a party, citing that even in Delhi, few expected BJP to perform well, yet voters gave the party 38 percent support in the MP elections. He added that the BJP has a strong position heading into the GHMC elections and cautioned against making predictions based on a single election result.

Dr. Laxman concluded that the party’s strategy in Telangana will be carefully planned, focusing on broad political trends rather than individual events. He stressed the importance of preparation, voter engagement, and clear messaging to ensure BJP’s continued growth and success in the state.
