To assess the implementation of the newly introduced RTC–Metro Common Pass, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, alongside Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, travelled via Metro Rail and a TGSRTC bus on Saturday.
The Common Pass allows passengers to travel seamlessly across both public transit networks without purchasing separate tickets.
Accompanied by Ministers Vivek Venkataswamy and Azharuddin, MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, MLAs Ganesh and Naveen Yadav, and senior officials, the Deputy Chief Minister boarded a Metro train using the integrated pass from Begumpet to Jubilee Hills Check Post.
During the ride, he interacted with commuters to gather feedback on transit convenience and ticket integration. Passengers expressed satisfaction, noting that the combined pass simplifies first-and-last-mile connectivity and saves travel time.
Following the Metro trip, the delegation boarded a TGSRTC bus from Jubilee Hills Check Post to the Secretariat. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar highlighted that integrating bus and Metro networks is key to easing traffic congestion in Hyderabad, offering commuters a cost-effective and time-saving transit solution.
