Awareness program on kidney health organized

An awareness program on kidney health was organized at Kamineni Hospitals, LB Nagar, on Thursday on the occasion of “World Kidney Day” which is observed globally on the second Thursday of March every year. Doctors from relevant departments highlighted the importance of prevention, early diagnosis and maintaining a healthy lifestyle to reduce the risk of kidney diseases.  

As part of the program, around 30 individuals who had successfully undergone dialysis and kidney transplantation at Kamineni Hospitals shared their personal experiences with the media, explaining how they overcame the disease through treatment and determination. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. A. Santosh Kumar, Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician at Kamineni Hospitals, stressed the importance of early screening and timely diagnosis of kidney diseases. 

Dr. V. Suryaprakash, Director of Urology, Transplant and Robotic Surgeon at Kamineni Hospitals, highlighted that proper hydration is one of the simplest ways to maintain kidney health.
