Vishesh Films has officially announced the release date of Awarapan 2, the highly anticipated sequel to one of Hindi cinema’s most loved cult films. The movie will release in cinemas worldwide on August 14, 2026.

The film marks a much-awaited reunion between producer Vishesh Bhatt and actor Emraan Hashmi. On Tuesday, Vishesh Bhatt, Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani took to social media to share a symbolic glimpse from the world of Awarapan 2, confirming the release date. Speaking about the sequel, producer Vishesh Bhatt said, “Awarapan is an emotion so large that it’s meant for the big screen.

It also presents exotic settings and large-scale sequences, but fundamentally it is built on our core principles of layered storytelling with powerful characters and rich music.” He also praised Emraan for deeply understanding the character of Shivam and said Disha Patani’s addition has opened new possibilities for the film. Directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqui, Awarapan 2 is currently in its final leg of production in Mumbai.
