The “Art of Giving” (AOG) movement, founded by noted educationist and humanitarian Achyuta Samanta, completed 13 years with grand celebrations held across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana under the slogan “Share to Shine.”

Service activities were conducted from May 11 to 17 in Hyderabad and districts including Warangal, Karimnagar, Medak, Rangareddy and Nalgonda under the leadership of P. Raja Ramesh, coordinator for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. On Sunday, nearly 400 volunteers participated in large-scale welfare programmes at village, mandal and district levels.

As part of the celebrations, AOG volunteers distributed volleyball kits to youth and students in rural and urban areas to encourage teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship. Blood donation camps, food distribution drives in villages, slums, schools and government hospitals, sapling plantation programmes, health awareness meetings and distribution of educational materials to underprivileged students were also organized.

Speaking on the occasion, Achyuta Samanta said the movement aims not only to provide aid to the poor but also to encourage people to contribute their time and knowledge for social development. He reiterated the message that “true happiness lies in helping others.”

Organizers said the Art of Giving movement has now expanded to more than 200 countries, spreading the idea that philanthropy should become a way of life.

Through the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Achyuta Samanta is also providing completely free education from Kindergarten to Post-Graduation for over 40,000 tribal students, helping thousands secure better career opportunities and build brighter futures.
