High-paying nursing opportunities in Germany for women from SC and ST communities, with selected candidates set to earn between Rs 2.75 lakh and Rs 3.30 lakh per month

Andhra Pradesh has launched a special overseas employment initiative aimed at creating high-paying nursing opportunities in Germany for women from SC and ST communities, with selected candidates set to earn between Rs 2.75 lakh and Rs 3.30 lakh per month. The programme, titled the ‘Germany Job Opportunity Programme’, is being implemented by the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), with the objective of equipping eligible women nurses with the professional and language skills required to pursue employment in Germany.

Under the initiative, selected candidates will undergo 8–10 months of specialised training at skill development centres in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Guntur. A major component of the programme will be German-language training up to the B2 proficiency level, which is essential for professional integration and communication in the German healthcare system. The Social Welfare and Tribal Welfare departments will provide free accommodation during the training period. Candidates may initially have to pay examination-related fees, but the government has stated that these expenses will subsequently be reimbursed.

The programme is open to SC and ST women aged between 18 and 35 years. Applicants must have completed either GNM or B.Sc. Nursing and should possess at least three years of professional experience in an ICU, Operation Theatre or Cardiology department of a hospital.

The initiative also seeks to reduce the financial burden associated with overseas employment. According to the government, the recruiting agencies in Germany will bear the costs of visas, air tickets and other travel expenses for selected candidates. Interested and eligible candidates have been asked to apply through the NaiPunyam portal by August 31. Applicants must submit documents including proof of date of birth, educational qualifications, work experience, caste certificate, Aadhaar and passport. Candidates who do not currently possess a passport have been given the option to submit it before completing the training.
