AP Govt collaborates with Singhania Trust to enhance educational skills

In a significant move to advance the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP), the Andhra Pradesh government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Smt. SulochanadeviSinghania School Trust. The agreement, formalized in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, aims to enhance educational skills across the state. The MoU was signed between representatives of the Andhra Pradesh government and Singhania Group (Raymonds). 

As part of this initiative, the Trust will initially focus on 14 schools in the Tirupati district, improving teacher performance, quality of education, training programs, spoken English proficiency, and technological integration in alignment with the National Education Policy. This initiative, set to be implemented over five years, is expected to benefit over one lakh students. Subsequently, the Trust’s services will be expanded to Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, and Kakinada.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Nara Lokesh emphasized the government's commitment to transforming Andhra Pradesh’s education sector into the best in the country. He stated that traditional teaching methods were being replaced with innovative and creative learning approaches, bringing substantial changes to the KG to PG curriculum. Lokesh further highlighted that the government aims to equip students with necessary skills to secure employment opportunities immediately after graduation.

Gautam Hari Singhania, Chairman of Singhania Group, reiterated the Trust’s mission to empower students with advanced technological skills. He emphasized the importance of strengthening teacher capabilities to deliver impactful and engaging learning experiences. Training programs for teachers will be conducted in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Amaravati, ensuring a comprehensive approach to enhancing instructional quality. The initiative will integrate digital tools, prioritize English communication proficiency, and improve overall educational standards.

The signing ceremony was attended by key officials, including Raymonds Independent Director K. Narasimhamurthy, Corporate Affairs Head Jatin Khanna, Singhania Trust Principal Revathi Srinivasan, Corporate Communications Head Rohit Khanna, Chief Garmenting Business Officer Manish Bharati, Raymonds Engineering Business CEO Gautam Maini, Chief Financial Officer Naveen Sharma, and Chairman’s Secretary Atul Khelkar.
