The Telangana government is taking significant steps to formulate rules and regulations for the newly enacted Bhu Bharati ROR 2025 Act, ensuring a transparent and efficient land administration system. A two-day workshop was inaugurated at the MCRHRD Institute, Jubilee Hills, where Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy addressed Collectors and senior officials.
Srinivas Reddy emphasized that the Bhu Bharati Act was framed democratically, incorporating suggestions from experts, intellectuals, and political representatives. He highlighted that the Act aligns with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s vision of providing comprehensive and people-centric revenue services in Telangana.
The Minister stated that the mistakes of the previous 2020 ROR Act—which was implemented without proper regulations—would not be repeated. He pointed out that thousands of farmers faced hardships due to loopholes in the Dharani portal, and the new law aims to provide a permanent solution to land disputes. He urged officials to draft rules meticulously, ensuring transparency and efficiency in land transactions.
He explained that the Bhu Bharati Act would not only protect land rights and streamline land transactions but also improve access to revenue services for the common people.
The government is taking a collaborative approach, seeking input from officials, experts, and other stakeholders to ensure the new regulations are robust and effective. This comprehensive approach will lead to better land administration, providing farmers with financial independence and self-respect. The workshop was attended by Revenue Principal Secretary Naveen Mittal, district Collectors, RDOs, Tahsildars, and revenue experts, who all contributed to shaping the future of land administration in Telangana.
