In a significant move toward combating poverty and uplifting marginalized communities, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu took to social media platform X to share his vision for a Zero Poverty society.

Speaking on the occasion of Sankranti, the Chief Minister emphasized the transformative potential of the P4 policy Public-Private-People Partnership and invited active participation from all sections of society, including non-resident Indians and individuals in high-ranking global positions.

“True festivity is not just about individual well-being; it is about ensuring that everyone around us thrives as well,” tweeted Naidu.  Elaborating on the state's ambitious Vision Andhra Pradesh 2047, Chandrababu Naidu underscored the significance of its first principle, Zero Poverty.

The P4 policy forms the cornerstone of this vision, aiming to mobilize resources and support from the top 10% of the population to uplift the bottom 20%. By addressing fundamental needs such as education, healthcare, nutrition, and clean drinking water, the government seeks to eradicate extreme poverty in both rural and urban areas.

Drawing from his successful implementation of reforms in 1995 during the united Andhra Pradesh era, Naidu recalled the transformative impact of the Public-Private Partnership (P3) model. This approach led to employment generation and wealth creation, enabling individuals from modest backgrounds to rise to positions of prominence, both in India and abroad. Today, Telugu-speaking individuals lead in numerous global industries, achieving the highest per capita income among Indian states.

“While the reforms of the past created opportunities, our responsibility now is to extend these benefits to every stratum of society,” he said.

With the festive spirit of Sankranti as the backdrop, Naidu formally announced the P4 initiative. He called upon individuals, particularly those who have achieved success and prosperity, to mentor and support underprivileged families.

He urged NRIs and successful professionals to return to their roots and contribute to the development of their hometowns. Reflecting on the success of the Janmabhoomi program, he highlighted how similar efforts in the past led to remarkable transformations in rural communities, thanks to the contributions of NRIs and industrialists.

The Chief Minister announced the creation of a dedicated portal to gather suggestions, experiences, and ideas for implementing the P4 policy effectively. The portal will remain open for 30 days to encourage widespread participation from citizens. “We are ready to listen to and incorporate every idea that contributes to the success of this vision,” he affirmed.
