Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced that every eligible individual will be granted a ration card and an Indiramma house in a meeting that was held at the GHMC head office on Sunday.
The Minister stated that the Chief Minister conducted a review meeting with district collectors and state-level officials on January 10 regarding the launch of four prestigious schemes. Since the Rythu Bharosa and Indiramma Atmiya Kanuka schemes do not apply to Hyderabad and GHMC areas, the focus will be on distributing ration cards and selecting beneficiaries for Indiramma houses.
Field verification will take place from January 16th to 20, and the list of beneficiaries will be prepared transparently through ward-wise gram sabhas from January 20 to 24. Data entry will be completed by January 25, and the government has allocated 3,500 Indiramma houses for each constituency.
The selection process aims to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive government welfare schemes. The Minister urged Hyderabad residents to provide information to officials even after the survey. He assured that there is no need for anyone to worry.
New ration cards will be issued from January 26th, and the announcement of Indiramma house beneficiaries will follow. Fifty percent of applications have been received from individuals who own land but do not have houses in Hyderabad. The survey will soon be completed, and the list of eligible beneficiaries will be announced.
Out of 1,070,463 applications received in Greater Hyderabad, 50 percent have been surveyed, and 9,913 individuals have been identified as having house plots. Based on the suggestions of public representatives, an action plan has been taken to build multi-storey buildings or develop slums for housing.
