Youth Congress leader invites youngsters to enter politics

Vemulawada Constituency Youth Congress president Nyatha Mahesh on Saturday called upon young people to enter politics and play an active role in public service. Independence Day celebrations were held in a grand manner under his leadership at Nandi Crossroads in Vemulawada. Mahesh unfurled the national flag and led the gathering in singing the national anthem. Mahesh said the freedom enjoyed today was the result of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.

He said the national flag symbolises the sacrifices, aspirations and struggles of the people of the country. He urged everyone to follow the constitutional path shown by Dr B.R. Ambedkar and work towards achieving equality and social justice. Politics, he said, should serve as a platform for public service rather than a means of seeking positions.  The entry of young people into politics would bring fresh ideas, change and new leadership, he added. Mahesh said the Youth Congress was committed to taking up public issues and encouraging young people to dedicate themselves to public service.
