The Malkajgiri Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Telangana Formation Day celebrations scheduled to be held at the Parade Grounds on June 2. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is expected to attend the event.
According to police officials, traffic restrictions and diversions will be in force on roads leading to Parade Grounds and surrounding areas from 7 a.m. to 12 noon. Commuters travelling between Begumpet, Sangeeth Junction, Trimulgherry, Bowenpally, Tank Bund and Secunderabad have been advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays.
Authorities expect heavy traffic congestion on several key arterial roads during the programme. Citizens have been encouraged to use Metro Rail and other public transport services for hassle-free travel.
Heavy vehicles, RTC buses and private travel buses have been advised to avoid roads leading to the venue during the restricted period. Traffic movement will be monitored through CCTV cameras and traffic control rooms, while real-time updates will be shared through social media platforms and FM radio channels.
