TV actor Gurucharan Singh, known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is currently in critical condition in hospital

His close friend Bhakti Soni revealed that his condition has deteriorated. Gurucharan has been unable to eat or drink for 19 days, leading to unconsciousness and hospitalisation. She revealed that the actor was hospitalised a few days back, however, after he got discharged, his health worsened. He is now admitted to a government hospital.

'His condition worsened again'

In an interaction with TOI and Times Now, Bhakti said, "He hasn’t eaten food or drunk water for 19 days. Because of that, he fell unconscious and was quickly rushed to the hospital. When he came back, he tried getting work, but he didn’t get anything. He wanted to take sanyas," she said.

"I haven’t met him, but his mother used to keep me informed. His health has been very poor. At one point, he was hospitalised but was taken back home. Unfortunately, his condition worsened again, leading to another hospital admission," she added.

'Phone switched off' Bhakti expressed her concern because the actor's family members have had their phones turned off.

Revealing shocking details about Gurucharan's financial condition, she said, "He had a debt of about Rs 1.2 crore. However, his father owns a property worth Rs 55 crore. Unfortunately, there is an ongoing dispute as the tenants are not vacating the property. If the matter gets resolved and the property is sold, he should be able to clear his loan."
