Students advised to inculcate curiosity to learn new things

Raghavendra Kookatla, Vice President – Technology, ADP Kookatla said that curiosity to learn new things is essential for engineering students. He advised students not to restrict their learning to textbooks but to develop the habit of asking questions such as, “Why does this happen this way?” and “How can this be improved further?”

He was the Chief Guest for an orientation program held for the first-year engineering students  on Monday at Stanley College of Engineering and Technology for Women (Autonomous), Abids. Srilakha Challagundla, Campus Recruiter, Salesforce, was the Guest of Honor and Ijaz Khan, CEO, Talensio, attended as the guest. Guest of Honour Srilakha Challagundla advised engineering students to clearly define their career goals from the first year itself.

She advised students to develop, along with technical knowledge, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, leadership qualities, and industry-relevant skills. Ijaz Khan, CEO, Talensio, said that obtaining a B.Tech degree is important, but preparing oneself to secure employment opportunities in reputed companies after graduation is equally important.

Academic Excellence Awards were presented by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor to students who had demonstrated outstanding academic performance in the examinations during the previous academic year. An Anti-Ragging Squad parade was also conducted as part of the program, followed by an Anti-Ragging Pledge administered to the students.
