SRK declines Jailer 2 cameo

As per reports, Shah Rukh Khan opts out of Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 cameo to focus on his upcoming film King

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly not be making a cameo appearance in Jailer 2, the upcoming sequel starring Rajinikanth. The actor has decided to focus entirely on his next film King.

According to reports, the makers had approached Shah Rukh Khan for a brief cameo requiring a five-day shoot schedule. While he was initially open to the idea, the actor later chose to step away as he wanted his on-screen appearance to remain exclusive ahead of King’s release.

Reports further suggest that King is a significant project for Shah Rukh as it will mark the big-screen debut of his daughter Suhana Khan. The actor reportedly did not want to appear in another film with a similar look before its release.

Despite declining the cameo, Shah Rukh is said to share a warm equation with Rajinikanth and remains open to future collaborations.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, King also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Arshad Warsi. The film is expected to release in December 2026.
