SHE Teams book 32 for indecent activities

Cyberabad SHE Teams intensified action against harassment and public misconduct, conducting 133 decoy operations across various locations and catching 32 persons red-handed for indulging in indecent acts in public places. Police booked 29 petty cases and counselled the remaining offenders. During the period, SHE Teams also received 16 complaints from women through different channels and initiated necessary action.

The Cyberabad Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) registered three cases under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act (PITA), rescued three victims and apprehended six accused persons. In a separate Juvenile Justice Act case, officials rescued four minor boys and arrested three accused persons.

Family Counselling Centres and CDEW Centres helped reunite 29 families facing marital disputes between husbands and wives.

As part of awareness and prevention initiatives, AHTU and SHE Teams conducted outreach programmes across Cyberabad, reaching 3,559 participants. The sessions focused on human trafficking, child trafficking, eve-teasing, social media harassment, child marriages, child rights, child labour, stalking, begging, cyberbullying, cyber frauds and emergency helpline services including 181, 1098, 100 and 1930.
