The ongoing RTC employees’ strike in Telangana has led to a wave of strict enforcement measures by the police, especially targeting any form of support being extended to the protesting workers. Authorities have intensified monitoring and issued clear warnings to tent house owners, function hall operators, community halls, and other service providers, cautioning them against offering space, materials, or services linked to the strike activities.

According to police notices, any assistance given to the striking employees for conducting meetings, gatherings, or protest-related arrangements could invite legal consequences. The directive has effectively placed restrictions not only on the protest activities but also on the infrastructure that could be used to support them. This has created a tense atmosphere among small business owners who depend on such services for their livelihood.

The RTC employees are continuing their strike over long-pending demands such as payment of dues, job security concerns, and issues related to the future structure of the transport corporation. The workers maintain that they had attempted discussions and followed due procedure before going ahead with the protest after talks reportedly failed.
