A Road Safety Awareness Seminar was organized at Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC)College under the leadership of National Service Scheme (NSS) Units 1 and 2, in collaboration with the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, Saifabad Traffic Inspector Saidireddy said that every year the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, conducts National Road Safety Week with the objective of reducing road accidents and increasing public awareness about safety rules.
Saifabad Additional Inspector Madhusudhan stated that every driver must strictly follow traffic rules, respect speed limits, obey traffic signals, and exercise caution while crossing roads.
NSS Chairman and College Principal Kura Raghuveer advised students to always wear helmets while traveling, obey traffic rules, cooperate with traffic police, avoid drunk driving and spread awareness about transport safety among family members.
