Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu has made it clear that performance will be the sole criterion for leadership positions and electoral opportunities within the party, warning that those who make mistakes or fail to meet expectations will not be spared.

Addressing TDP cluster in-charges undergoing training at the party’s central office in Mangalagiri during an interactive “Coffee Kaburlu” session, Naidu outlined the party’s future strategy and emphasized accountability at all levels.

He said the party would continuously conduct surveys and base decisions from organisational appointments to election ticket allocations on feedback from the public and party cadre. “The opinions of people and grassroots workers will guide our decisions. I will not hesitate to remove those who harm the interests of the party and the state,” he asserted.

Expressing confidence in the party’s future, Naidu declared that TDP would remain electorally strong by maintaining close ties with the people, respecting democratic values and balancing welfare with development. He also stressed the importance of self-assessment and course correction to ensure continued public support.

Citing Mangalagiri as an example of perseverance, Naidu praised IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh for transforming the constituency into a TDP stronghold. “Despite losing in 2019, Lokesh continued to work relentlessly and achieved a resounding victory in 2024. Every party worker should emulate that commitment,” he said.

The Chief Minister also launched a sharp attack on the previous YSRCP government, accusing it of making false promises on prohibition, the Old Pension Scheme and job creation. He alleged that the opposition was attempting to spread misinformation regarding the government’s DSC-2025 teacher recruitment drive.

Naidu reiterated the importance of maintaining coalition unity, noting that the NDA alliance achieved a 94 percent strike rate in the 2024 elections because votes were not divided. He urged TDP, Jana Sena and BJP workers to uphold the spirit of alliance politics at the grassroots level.

Calling on party cadres to intensify outreach efforts, Naidu asked them to take the government’s achievements and welfare initiatives directly to the people and ensure stronger booth-level support than in previous elections.
