People’s cooperation important for development: Collector Kumar Deepak

District Collector Kumar Deepak has stated that people’s active cooperation is crucial for the smooth and systematic implementation of public welfare schemes and development programs in the district. The Collector made these remarks while addressing a district-level review meeting on the “Praja Palana - Pragati Pranalika” (People’s Governance - Progress Plan) held on Friday at the collectorate meeting hall.

Collector Kumar Deepak informed that under the Indiramma Housing Scheme, two-bedroom houses are being allotted to eligible beneficiaries in a transparent manner through a lottery system. He said that bills are being cleared in a phased manner and assured that any pending bills would be cleared immediately if brought to the notice of the concerned officials. He also announced that the second phase of the Indiramma Housing Scheme would begin shortly. Highlighting summer preparedness, the Collector said measures are being taken to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply to all habitations.

The Collector also informed that Young India Integrated Schools have been sanctioned in Rebbanpalli (Dandepalli mandal), Somanpalli (Chennur mandal), and Bellampalli mandal headquarters. Each school will receive Rs 200 crore and construction works are progressing, the Collector informed. These schools aim to provide quality and modern education to students. He further stated that steps are being taken to implement the Indiramma Kutumba Bima (family insurance) scheme to provide insurance coverage to all, and to supply motorized vehicles to persons with disabilities.

In agriculture, the Collector said farmers are being encouraged to adopt crop diversification by shifting to commercial crops and vegetables for better income. He also mentioned that super specialty hospital construction works at the district headquarters are progressing rapidly to improve healthcare services.
