National-level awards for Vignan's University leadership

Vignan's University Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.V. Krishna Kishore announced on Saturday that the University’s Chancellor, Dr. Pavuluri Subba Rao, has been honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the advancement of science and technology and the progress of the nation. Similarly, the University’s CEO, Dr. Meghana Kurapati, has received the Excellent Academician Award for her distinguished contributions to education and research, as well as her excellence in academic leadership.

The awards were presented during the Annual Conference–2026 of the Academy for Science, Technology and Communication (ASTC), held at the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) in Hyderabad.  Dr. Pavuluri Subba Rao received the award from Dr. Tummala Srinivasa Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India.   

The Vice-Chancellor stated that receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award by the University's Chancellor and the Excellent Academician Award by its CEO was a matter of immense pride for the institution.  The Registrar, Deans of various schools and Heads of Departments expressed their happiness over the two prestigious recognitions.
