As part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Rolls, TPCC Vice President and Sanathnagar Constituency Congress Party In-charge Dr. Kota Neelima participated in a ward meeting held at the ward office near Nehru Park, along with DC & ERO Sujatha. She interacted with residents and created awareness about the SIR process and the procedures involved in ensuring accurate and updated electoral rolls.

She particularly appealed to young people who will attain the age of 18 years by October 1, 2026, to register themselves as voters by submitting Form-6. She also advised existing voters to use Form-8 to rectify any errors in their name, age, address, parents’ names, photograph or other particulars in the electoral roll. If the names of ineligible persons are found in the electoral rolls, citizens may raise objections in accordance with the prescribed rules through Form-7, she said.

Dr. Neelima explained that, as part of the SIR exercise, officials have issued notices to voters whose details showed discrepancies while linking the current electoral records with previous electoral rolls. The notices are being issued solely to verify and resolve discrepancies, doubts or inconsistencies in voter particulars, she said.
