‘Party cadre needs to mingle with people’

IT & Education Minister and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh suggested on Monday that the entire party cadre should go to the people once in every three months. The minister was speaking at a meeting with party workers and leaders in Yelamanchili constituency of Anakapalli district. He opined that from now on, young blood will be injected continuously into the party. He called for taking the government’s achievements since June to the people. He stated that even if there are differences of opinion, everyone should move forward together. He made it clear that in the Telugu Desam Party, the worker is the top priority and only then is anyone.

He promised to give justice to every worker who worked hard in three phases even if not for the first time and appealed to the cadre not to be disheartened. Saying that the party’s Mahanadu will be held in Kadapa in May, Lokesh informed that after the election of the national president in Mahanadu, the appointment of the state committee will be taken up. Nara Lokesh proposed that no leader should hold the same post for more than three terms and wished for a scenario were a village-level president should also get a place in the politburo, he said.

He reminded all the hard-core workers of the party have suffered for five years and were tortured in many cases. He also informed that steps will be taken to remove the false cases filed during the previous government’s tenor and said that a special cell at the party's central office should be contacted in connection with the cases.

“Where there is an MLA of the other party, there are problems due to lack of coordination. Where there is no MLA, the in-charge should sit and talk every week. If the activists go to the government offices for work within the purview of the law, the work has to be done” he said. TDP state president Palla Srinivasa Rao, ministers Vangalapudi Anitha, Kollu Ravindra, Uttarandhra coordinator Damacharla Satya, Yelamanchili constituency TDP in-charge Pragada Nageswara Rao and others participated in the meeting.
