Hyderabad: OXMIQ Labs, founded by GPU pioneer Raja Koduri, has entered a strategic partnership with AM Intelligence Labs (AMI Labs), a division of AM Group, to build one of the world’s largest renewable-powered AI compute platforms. The collaboration targets 2 GW of AI compute capacity by 2030, beginning with a 1 GW hub in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, slated to go live by the end of 2027.

AMI Labs, backed by AM Group and Greenko—India’s largest renewable energy producer—operates 50 GW of solar, wind, and hydro power, supported by 100 GWh of intelligent energy storage. This infrastructure enables AI workloads to run entirely on carbon-free power at costs 50–70% lower than conventional data centers.

The Noida hub will serve as a fully integrated platform, combining renewable energy, advanced data center infrastructure, high-performance accelerators, software, and flexible consumption models such as AI Pods-as-a-Service and Tokens-as-a-Service.

OXMIQ will act as the architecture and engineering partner, contributing expertise in GPU design, interconnects, liquid cooling, storage, and workload orchestration to ensure scalability and efficiency.

Anil Chalamalasetty, Chairman of AM Group, emphasized that OXMIQ’s deep hardware and systems expertise will help build infrastructure capable of competing globally. Raja Koduri highlighted that AMI Labs has solved the toughest challenge in large-scale AI—reliable, carbon-free power—and that integrating OXMIQ’s technology from the ground up ensures every component is optimized for performance, efficiency, and economics in the AI era.

This partnership positions India as a critical hub in the global AI economy, leveraging its developer base, enterprise adoption, and growing token consumption.
