Metro India newspaper MD, C. Vijayarajam, visited the famous Jogulamba and Balabrahmeswara temples in Alampur on Tuesday. The temples, often referred to as South Kashi and recognized as the fifth Shakti Peetha, received her warmly from the temple priests.
At the Balabrahmeswara Swami temple, she participated in Ganapati puja and performed abhishekams for the deity. Later, she proceeded to the Jogulamba temple, offered special prayers, and sought the blessings of the goddess.
As part of the visit, she presented sarees to the goddess and silk garments to the deity. In the Yagashala, the temple’s deputy priest, Dandigal Anand Sharma, conducted a homa pooja in her presence. The priests also offered Vedic blessings and distributed sacred prasadam to her.
