Hyderabad-based Grace Cancer Foundation is preparing to list on the Social Stock Exchange (SSE), marking a significant step towards bringing a more structured and impact-driven funding model to preventive healthcare. The nearly 13-year-old non-profit, founded by surgical oncologist Dr. Chinnababu Sunkavalli, announced the proposed listing at a knowledge session, “CSR Meets the Social Stock Exchange: A Journey Ahead”, organized by Equippp Social Impact Technologies Limited (EQUIPPP) in the city.

Dr. Sunkavalli said the proposed listing was not simply a fundraising exercise, but part of a broader institutional transformation aimed at strengthening governance, compliance, transparency, and measurable social impact. The Foundation’s next phase includes plans for a Centre of Excellence for Preventive Oncology and the deployment of fully AI-enabled mobile cancer screening units.

It also proposes to expand cancer and non-communicable disease screening programmes across India, develop digital health platforms for underserved communities and deepen research collaborations in preventive oncology. The SSE provides eligible non-profit organizations and social enterprises a SEBI-regulated mechanism to mobilize funds from donors and impact investors, with emphasis on transparency, governance and impact reporting.
