Narsapur gets Rs 15 crore development boost

State Labour and Mines Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy on Saturday launched development works worth Rs 15 crore in Narsapur Municipality, highlighting the government’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure and public welfare at the grassroots level.

The Minister said a special municipal meeting has been arranged and a clear action plan has been prepared to ensure comprehensive development across the town. He stressed that local bodies must work with focus and accountability to meet public needs.

During the visit, he was accompanied by MLA Sunitha Laxma Reddy, MLC Anjireddy, District Collector Pratima Singh, Municipal Chairperson Lakshmi Raj Yadav, and other officials.

As part of the programme, Vivek Venkataswamy attended housewarming ceremonies of beneficiaries under the Indiramma housing scheme in Wards 4 and 6. He joined families, including Duddala Durgamma and Mohammed Shakeera Begum, in traditional rituals.

At Narayanpur village, he inaugurated the “Badibata” school enrollment drive under the 99-day Praja Palana Pragati initiative. He emphasized that every child should have access to free and quality education in government schools.
