Nara Devaansh enters World Book of Records with checkmate solutions

Nara Devaansh, grandson of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu secured a coveted spot in the World Book of Records. He achieved the title of ‘Fastest Checkmate Solver’ completing an astounding 175 chess puzzles in a record time

In a remarkable display of chess prowess, nine-year-old Nara Devaansh, grandson of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and son of Minister Nara Lokesh, has secured a coveted spot in the World Book of Records. Devaansh achieved the title of ‘Fastest Checkmate Solver’ completing an astounding 175 chess puzzles in a record time of just 11 minutes and 59 seconds on December 18, 2024.

Devaansh tackled the intricate chess problems from the renowned book “5334 Problems and Games” by Laszlo Polgair, showcasing not only speed but also a deep understanding of chess tactics. His exceptional performance earned him an official certificate from the prestigious World Book of Records, London.

Devaansh's accomplishment has drawn widespread praise, including from within the state government. His father Minister Nara Lokesh congratulated Devansh over his achievement and thanked Roy Chess Academy for their coaching. Agriculture Minister Atchannaidu lauded the young chess prodigy for his rapid moves and remarkable puzzle-solving abilities, wishing him continued success in his chess career. 

Minister Ram Prasad Reddy also extended his congratulations, expressing his delight at Devaansh's world record. Both ministers conveyed their satisfaction with the recognition from the World Book of Records and offered their best wishes for Devaansh's future endeavors in chess.Devaansh's entry into the World Book of Records underscores his exceptional talent and dedication to the game, marking a significant milestone in his burgeoning chess career. His achievement not only brings pride to his family but also serves as an inspiration for young chess enthusiasts across the state and beyond.
