Andhra Pradesh IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh visited the renowned Yoga Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Sholingur in Tamil Nadu’s Ranipet district on Friday and offered special prayers.
Upon his arrival at Sholingur, the minister was accorded a warm welcome by temple authorities and local public representatives. He later travelled by ropeway to the hilltop shrine of Yoga Narasimha Swamy Temple, where he offered special prayers and sought the blessings of the presiding deity.
Following the darshan, temple priests blessed the minister with Vedic benedictions, honoured him with a traditional shawl, and presented him with sacred prasadam. Lokesh subsequently visited the nearby hill shrine of Yoga Anjaneya Swamy Temple. He climbed 420 steps on foot to reach the temple and offered prayers to Lord Hanuman. Temple authorities later presented him with tirtha prasadam.
During his return journey, the minister interacted with devotees and pilgrims he encountered along the route. He was seen greeting them warmly and exchanging pleasantries, drawing appreciation from devotees present at the pilgrimage centre.
The Sholingur temples are among the most revered Vaishnavite pilgrimage destinations in South India, attracting thousands of devotees from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and other states throughout the year.
