State IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu emphasized on Friday that workers play a crucial role in the development of the state, noting in particular the tireless efforts of municipal workers in maintaining cleanliness in towns and surrounding areas. He extended greetings to workers on the occasion of International Workers’ Day (May Day). The minister was speaking at May Day celebrations held on Friday at Gandhi Chowk in Manthani town, where he addressed a gathering of workers.
He acknowledged that workers across all sectors are fulfilling their responsibilities with dedication and contributing significantly to societal progress. During his address, the minister assured that steps would soon be initiated to identify workers in Manthani who do not own houses and provide them with housing under the Indiramma housing scheme. He also praised the services of municipal workers, stating that their contribution is vital to the developmental efforts being undertaken by the municipal administration in the region.
Later, Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu visited a government school in Manthani where a “Super Summer Camp” is being conducted for students through T-Fiber network facilities. The minister appreciated the efforts of students who, through robotics and automated sensor technology, were able to build a model of a moon-landing device within three days, calling it a commendable achievement. He mentioned that around 350 students from the district are participating in these camps and congratulated parents for supporting their children’s involvement.
