The 19th edition of the Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF), known for its showcase of documentary, short fiction and animation films, is set to return with an exciting line-up of screenings, industry interactions and learning sessions for young creators and cinema lovers. Ahead of the festival, National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) has announced free delegate passes for film and media students, giving them a chance to experience the festival up close.

The festival will be held from June 15 to 21 and is expected to bring together filmmakers, students, industry professionals and cinema enthusiasts from across India and abroad. Students attending MIFF 2026 will get access to international films, masterclasses by acclaimed names from the film world and several festival events, including red-carpet showcases.

Over the years, MIFF has grown into one of South Asia’s well-known platforms for non-feature films and emerging talent. This year’s edition is expected to see strong participation from young filmmakers and media students, while also creating space for conversations, collaborations and fresh creative ideas.
