Metro India Director C Soumya vists Jogulamba temple

Soumya, director of Vijayakranthi telugu daily visited the historic temple town of Alampur alampur on Monday. It is renowned as the fifth among the 18 Shakti Peethas and home to the revered Sri Jogulamba Devi Temple. Soumya offered prayers at the Sri Jogulamba Devi Temple and the Sri Papanaseswara Swamy Temple and participated in special rituals. Temple staff accorded her a traditional welcome upon her arrival. At the Jogulamba temple, Soumya participated in Sri Chakra Archana and performed special prayers in the presence of the deity.

She also took part in the abhishekam and other rituals at the shrine of Lord Papanaseswara Swamy. Following the ceremonies, the priests presented her with Teertha Prasadam and offered Vedic blessings. Soumya later visited the Sri Papanaseswara Swamy Temple, one of the prominent shrines among the Nava Brahma temples of Alampur. She performed special prayers and learned about the temple's religious and historical significance.

Ancient Heritage and Exceptional Architecture

Describing Alampur as more than just a spiritual destination, Soumya said the temple town stands as a living testimony to centuries of history and is home to a remarkable collection of ancient temples. She said the darshan of Goddess Jogulamba and the visit to the Papanaseswara Swamy Temple brought her immense spiritual joy. She also admired the distinctive architecture and exquisite stone carvings that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Alampur.
