MAMS Hospitals completes 100 free knee surgeries

MAMS Hospitals has completed over 100 free Total Knee Replacement (TKR) surgeries for economically disadvantaged patients as part of its healthcare welfare programme. The initiative was announced during the birthday celebrations of Managing Director and Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Puvvada Nayan Raj at Mamata Academy of Medical Sciences, Bachupally.

Dr. Puvvada Nayan Raj said, “Many patients suffer from severe knee problems but are unable to afford surgery. Our aim is to ensure that financial difficulties do not prevent anyone from receiving advanced treatment.”

He said the hospital would continue expanding welfare activities, including maternity support initiatives. Executive Director Mrs. Puvvada Aparna Raj has extended financial assistance of Rs 5,000 for the birth of a boy and Rs 6,000 for a girl child to eligible families.

Mamata Educational Society Chairman Puvvada Ajay Kumar said, “Quality healthcare and education should be accessible to every deserving person.”

MAMS Hospitals Superintendent Dr. Brigadier P.S.K. Patel said, “The programme is being implemented with international standards through coordinated efforts of doctors and support teams.”
