Babu celebrates b’day with workers at Anna canteen

The Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu decided to celebrate his 76th birthday on Monday with workers at the Anna Canteen along with wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari.

The CM sat with the workers, sanitation workers and auto drivers for breakfast and enquired with workers if they were utilising the various schemes such as ‘Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme’ providing Rs 15,000 annually to auto, taxi, and maxi cab drivers, ‘Stree Shakti’ provides free travel for women scheme, and the “Thalliki Vandanam” scheme on June 12, 2025, providing Rs 15,000 annually to mothers of school-going children of the government.

He also enquired about cleanliness of the canteen with people who frequent the place regularly.

Nara Bhuvaneshwari, Vice-Chairperson and Managing Director of Heritage Foods and Managing Trustee of the NTR Memorial Trust donated Rs 76 lakh towards one day’s operational cost of the Anna Canteens to mark her husband’s birthday.

Free meals were served three times on Monday at all 269 Anna Canteens across the State, according to a government release. Mr. Naidu said others should follow her example.
