Krishnashtami celebrations were held with great enthusiasm at Bapuji High School in Jagadgirigutta on Friday, marking the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. The school premises wore a festive look as students actively participated in the celebrations and presented a series of cultural programs.
Children performed Shri Krishna-themed songs and dances, adding colour and devotional spirit to the occasion. Janmashtami, celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, is observed on the eighth day of the Krishna Paksha and holds an important place in Indian cultural and religious traditions. School correspondent Navva Prabhakar Rao expressed happiness over the enthusiastic performances by the students.
He stressed the need for children to understand the importance of Indian culture and imbibe the dharma sutras and teachings associated with Lord Krishna in their daily lives. Principal Navva Srinivas said parents and teachers have a responsibility to explain the importance of these values to children and prepare them to face different challenges and problems that may arise in life.
