Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K. Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday announced a financial assistance of Rs 2.25 crore to the bereaved family of former Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy. According to an official party statement, KCR finalised the decision following consultations with senior party leaders and key office-bearers of the Warangal district unit.
Reaffirming the party's commitment, the BRS chief stated that the party stands firmly with the late leader's family during this difficult time.
KCR is scheduled to visit Nallabelli village near Narsampet on Sunday to offer his condolences directly to the grieving family. During his visit, the BRS chief will also interact with local party leaders, cadres, and supporters across the Narsampet constituency to offer reassurance and bolster morale.
Peddi Sudarshan Reddy passed away in the early hours of July 31st, following medical treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. His involvement with KCR and the BRS, formerly known as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), commenced in 2001, the same year the party was established. Peddi Sudarshan Reddy was also a dedicated participant in the movement advocating for the formation of the Telangana state, a cause he supported from 2001 onwards. His leadership roles within the party included serving as district president for eight years and subsequently as State general secretary.
