Janhvi Kapoor is easily one of the most passionate dog moms in India. At a recent event in Mumbai, The Free Press Journal even spotted her carrying her water cup with a bling (so shiny, it will blind you) cover that proudly announced her as a Dog Mom. She’s also unfailingly clutching onto this water cup at the city airports while going through security.

Sometime ago, in an interview with an intrepid journalist, Sridevi’s elder daughter described her safe space as “at home, where I’ve got 19 dogs. I’m a dog lady,” she proudly said. And, when the journalist asked her to name her pooches, Janhvi sportingly went at it. “Saitama and Bhaitama,” she began. Then she breathlessly rattled off — Nepo, Danger, Mocambo, Malai, Kulfi, Panda, Mochi, Yuki, Shiro, Popi, Luna, Anora, Toofan, Mo Pappu, Jackson and Jordan.

On another occasion, Janhvi told the media, “I am a crazy dog lover, but it shouldn’t be made out to seem like my safe spaces are only with them. I also feel safe around some people.”

Safe space

It is no secret that Janhvi has been dating Mumbai-based businessman Shikhar Pahariya for a few years now. In fact, his family, especially his mother, Smruti Shinde, has told her close circle that Janhvi is “like a daughter.” And, her dad, Boney Kapoor, is constantly saying, “Besides my own son, Arjun, I also have a son in Shikhar.” Toh, abhi mamla official hai!

But, the best part of being Shikhar’s lady love is the additional value that he brings to Janhvi’s surroundings. We hear that the good-looking, suave industrialist reportedly has a couple of security personnel, handpicked by him, accompanying Janhvi to various events. “They faithfully accompany her to outdoor shoots, ribbon-cuttings and trailer launches,” we were informed by a source.

When it comes to Janhvi, Shikhar walks the extra mile. No wonder, their love is peaking (shikhar par hai).
