Illegal pickle factory busted in Hyderabad

The Commissioner’s Task Force, Golconda team, and Kulsumpura Police have busted an illegal pickle manufacturing unit at Venkatesh Nagar, Jiyaguda, apprehending 62-year-old K. Ravinder, who was producing unhygienic pickles without any valid license.

During the raid, authorities seized a massive quantity of spurious products, including 15 drums of red chilli pickle (2,400 kg), 2 drums of amla pickle (320 kg), 9 drums of tomato water (1,440 kg), 1 drum of tomato pickle (160 kg), 1 drum of lemon pickle (160 kg), 2 drums of dol lemon (320 kg), and 26 drums of preserved mango and lemon with rock salt (4,160 kg). The total value of the seized property is estimated at ₹3 lakh.

The accused was reportedly manufacturing and distributing pickles using low-quality and stale raw materials under unhygienic conditions. These products were being supplied illegally to kirana stores, restaurants, and hotels, posing serious health risks to consumers.
