‘I will never forgive former minister Prashanth Reddy’

The President of the Telangana Rakshana Sena party Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday lashed out fiercely at former BRS party minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy. She remarked that while Prashanth Reddy claims to be like an elder son to KCR, he actually resembles Shakuni from the Mahabharata.

Kavitha declared that she might forgive former minister Harish Rao and former MP Santosh Kumar, but she would never forgive Prashanth Reddy. She alleged that he met with Congress party leaders just two days after the BRS lost power. Kavitha made scathing remarks, accusing him of sowing discord between the father and his children after having benefited from KCR's patronage.

Kavitha participated in the 'Panchajanya Sankalpa Sabha' held in Nizamabad. Speaking on the occasion, she stated that a new force must emerge in Telangana politics and urged the people to give her another opportunity to serve the Nizamabad district. "I have worked here as the daughter-in-law of Nizamabad. Please give me another chance.

You are my strength," Kavitha said. She mentioned that if she merely wanted to engage in politics, she could join any party or go anywhere but she remains in politics with the sole intention of serving the people. Kavitha became emotional while referring to the cases filed against her.

Kavitha questioned why she was jailed in Tihar despite maintaining she had done nothing wrong. She said she was hurt by being ousted from the party during difficult times but warned against mistaking her tears for cowardice.

Criticising the Kaleshwaram project, she alleged Rs 1 lakh crore was spent without benefiting Nizamabad farmers. She accused the BRS regime of corruption and criticised the Congress government’s performance. Kavitha expressed confidence in winning five Nizamabad seats and announced that Telangana Rakshana Sena would contest all ZPTC and MPTC elections, promising free education and healthcare if elected.
