Nushrratt Bharuccha reacts to viral RCB celebration video, clears confusion over background audio

Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha has addressed the speculation surrounding a viral video she posted during the celebrations of Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s IPL 2026 title win. For those unversed, the background audio in Nushrratt’s Instagram story sparked widespread discussion online, with some users claiming they heard “moaning” and “slapping” sounds.

Following RCB’s historic victory on May 31, the actress had shared a video expressing her excitement. However, she deleted it shortly after, as screen recordings of the clip had already begun circulating on social media.

As speculation intensified, various theories emerged online regarding the audio in the background of the video.

Putting an end to the rumours, Nushrratt issued a clarification on Instagram on Thursday, stating that she was watching the match at a friend’s house and the sounds in question were made by a young puppy present there.

She wrote, “Kuch logon ne hadh hi kar di hai. Ek puppy ke rone ki awaaz se itna bawaal mach gaya hai… I was watching the match at my friend’s house and their young puppy was making these crying sounds.”

She also mentioned that a fake clarification had been circulated in her name, prompting her to respond publicly and set the record straight.

In a follow-up post, the actress shared visuals from the location where she watched the match, along with images of the puppy she referred to in her statement. Nushrratt added, “This is the house where I was watching the match. This is the puppy. People, calm your wild thoughts down. Owning a mobile phone doesn’t empower harassment. Think and act responsibly.”
