GHMC seeks parties' support for voter roll revision

The District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner on Tuesday held a meeting with representatives of recognised political parties to review preparations for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls for 2026. The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner (Elections) Santhosh Kumar, IAS, Zonal Commissioner K. Chandrakala, and representatives of the BSP, BJP, CPM, Congress, BRS, TDP, AIMIM and AAP.

During the meeting, the Commissioner appealed to all political parties to extend full cooperation for the revision exercise and ensure its smooth implementation at the field level. He urged parties to direct their Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to actively participate in the revision process by assisting eligible voters in filling out and submitting Enumeration Forms. The Commissioner said the active involvement of political parties and BLAs would help ensure that all eligible electors are included in the electoral rolls and contribute to the successful completion of the Special Intensive Revision-2026.
