On Tuesday, Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, along with MP Etela Rajender, Cantonment MLA Ganesh, and Deputy Mayor Srilatha Shoban Reddy, laid the foundation stone for development works worth Rs 59.40 lakhs in Begumpet Circle.
These projects include the construction of CC roads at three locations in Monda Market Division with an investment of Rs 32.50 lakhs, the construction of VDCC roads in East Marredpally at a cost of Rs 25.50 lakhs, sprucing up the GHMC nursery, and the repair of GHMC Park-2 compound wall in East Marredpally with an allocation of Rs 1.40 lakhs.
During the ceremony, Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi mentioned that the state government has released Rs 700 crores to the GHMC in the past four months, an unprecedented support in recent years. On behalf of the city's residents and the GHMC, she extended heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. She stated that every zone under the GHMC jurisdiction will receive Rs 25 crores for developmental activities.
MP Etela Rajender, Cantonment MLA Ganesh, Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shoban Reddy, Corporator Deepika, Deputy Commissioner, GHMC officials, and local residents participated in the event. The state government is providing full support for the city's development, announced Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi.
