Former Telangana DGP gets ‘Bharat Gaurav’- Lifetime Achievement Award

Former Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar and senior IFS officer Meenakshi Negi received the Lifetime Achievement Awards during the Bharat Gaurav Awards ceremony was held on Tuesday in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. The awards were presented by the Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh. This honour recognizes their long and distinguished service in public administration and the maintenance of law and order. Additionally, Symposium Trustee Shruti Malpani was presented with the Bharat Gaurav Award.

Governor Gurmit Singh remarked that honouring individuals who work selflessly towards nation-building is a source of pride for the country. Each year, the Bharat Gaurav Award is presented to 20 individuals, while the Lifetime Achievement Award is given to five. An independent committee reviews applications—submitted with recommendations from Collectors, Superintendents of Police (SPs), or Members of Parliament (MPs)—to select the deserving recipients.
