Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender on Sunday criticized that the people of the country were hanging their heads in shame after seeing the work being done by the Congress party. He alleged that the Convoy leader Rahul Gandhi lacks leadership qualities and added that some organizations and individuals were trying to break the democratic system in the country with foreign funds.

Rajender held a press conference at the Medchal-Malkajgiri district (urban) BJP office in Shahpur seeking the success of the Maha Padayatra to be participated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Hyderabad on November 2. Speaking on the occasion, he accused the Congress party of playing a strange political drama in the name of protecting the Constitution. He criticized that efforts were being made to dilute India's self-respect and reputation abroad. He said that the Congress was attacking the democratic institutions like Parliament, Supreme Court and Election Commission.

Rajender clarified that the BJP had not initiated the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. He said that this process had been done 13 times since 1952 and was being done again after 24 years. He questioned whether it was necessary to remove the votes of the dead, the votes of those, who had changed their address and the duplicate votes of those, who had votes in other areas.

He alleged that out of 39 lakh votes in the Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency, about 13 lakh votes were removed and added that they were being misrepresented by portraying them as the votes belonging to the same category. He said that while there were about 8 lakh votes in the Qutbullapur constituency, only three and a half lakh people voted. He said that the low turnout in Malkajgiri was also due to migration and exercising the right to vote in other states.

He said that it was ironic that the Congress party, which introduced EVMs, was making allegations of tampering with them. He questioned as to why the BJP did not get more than 400 seats if there was tampering in the EVMs?  He also questioned whether the EVMs worked properly when the Congress party won the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections? He criticized that doubts were not expressed about the EVMs when the opposition won in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh. He said that the Congress was acting to tarnish the reputation of the Election Commission and added that it was not right to discredit the Supreme Court and Parliament systems. He suggested that India, the largest democracy in the world, should not be mocked internationally.
