Bharat Rashtra Samithi Working President K.T. Rama Rao, during an informal interaction with the media in New Delhi, launched a sharp attack on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, asserting that his political fight is solely against the Chief Minister's governance and not against him personally. Describing it as a battle for Telangana's interests, KTR alleged that the Congress Government was diverting public attention from pressing issues while failing to address the concerns of farmers, irrigation and development.

KTR accused the State Government of deliberately refusing to utilize the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project despite available alternatives to protect crops during the ongoing dry conditions. He maintained that the National Dam Safety Authority is only an advisory body and that the State Government has the authority to operate the project responsibly. Alleging that farmers were being made to suffer for political reasons, he claimed the government was withholding irrigation water instead of safeguarding agriculture.

The BRS leader criticized the Chief Minister over his repeated remarks against the opposition and questioned whether the Congress high command was taking note of such statements. He also alleged that recent political surveys had created panic within the Congress leadership and expressed confidence that the BRS would return to power under the leadership of K. Chandrashekar Rao.

KTR announced that he would undertake a statewide padayatra next year to reconnect with the people and strengthen the party. Acknowledging that the BRS had made mistakes during its previous tenure, he said the party had undertaken introspection and was committed to correcting them.

He reiterated that no individual was bigger than the party and maintained that KCR would once again lead Telangana. On the TRS name issue, KTR said the party shared a twenty two year emotional association with the name that symbolized the Telangana movement and questioned how anyone else could legitimately claim it. He also reiterated BRS's stand that southern states should not lose parliamentary representation during the proposed delimitation exercise and demanded that the present share be protected.

KTR leads delegation seeking of Adilabad CCI

KTR, along with senior BRS leaders, also met Union Heavy Industries Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy in New Delhi to press for the immediate revival of the Cement Corporation of India plant at Adilabad. He said the Union Minister responded positively and indicated support for reviving the unit through an investment of around Rs 2,000 crore.

KTR alleged that the Telangana Government's failure to submit proposals, extend the mining lease and announce a support package had become the biggest obstacle. He urged both the Centre and the State to work together to reopen the plant, protect the livelihoods of nearly 6,000 families and revive economic activity in the region, warning that the BRS would intensify its agitation until the long pending demand was fulfilled.
