Ex-MLC demands statue of former union minister Ajit Singh

At a press conference held by Telangana Rashtriya Lok Dal on Monday, Kapilavai Dileep Kumar, Ex-MLC and President, Telangana Rashtriya Lok Dal demanded that a statue of former union minister Late Chaudhary Ajit Singh be installed on Tank Bund in recognition of his contribution to the Telangana movement and the formation of the state. He further demanded that the Amberpet Flyover be named after Chaudhary Ajit Singh.

Dileep Kumar recalled that while serving as the Union Minister for Agriculture, Ajit Singh attended the TRS Praja Garjana Sabha at Warangal. Dileep Kumar further pointed out that all five Rashtriya Lok Dal Members of Parliament voted in favor of the Telangana Bill in the Lok Sabha, while the party's sole Rajya Sabha Member also supported the Bill in the Rajya Sabha. He also demanded the immediate discontinuation of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) for government employees.
